Roman Marble Relief of a Satyr, 2nd century AD; height cm 19 (cm 24,5 with Iron support); An impressive head of a bearded Satyr. This mithological creature is characterized by the typical leaf scroll which adorns the wavy hair, the pointed and curved hears, and the frowning expression. Provided with an iron museal stand. Provenance: English private collection formed between 1970s and late 1990s.
