Large wooden cross with mother of pearl, tortoiseshell and silver. Colonial School. Mexico. 18th century. With resurrected Christ in sculpted ivory. European School. 19th century.
Height Christ figure: 37 cm. Weight Christ figure: 920 g. Cross measurements: 112 x 55 x 34 cm. Magnificent cross with an octagonal base, profusely decorated with marquetry forming borders geometric motifs and tortoiseshell incrustations which form eight large suns above a circle in the lower part of the cross.
