FUNK WALTHER: (1890-1960) German economist and Nazi official who served as Reich Minister for Economic Affairs 1938-45. Funk was tried and convicted as a major war criminal at Nuremberg and sentenced to life in prison. D.S., Walther Funk, one page, folio, Berlin, 25th August 1938, in German. The partially printed document, completed in manuscript, appoints Karl Massar to a position within the civil service administration.
