The document, in German, comprises three individually signed typed statements, the first by SS-Sturmbannfuhrer Simon Fuss, dated at Munich, 28th December 1931, concerning the proposed appointment of Willi Herzberger to be an SS-Sturmfuhrer with the duty of an adjutant, remarking that he has previously completed tasks to the entire satisfaction of Fuss and that he is a retired police captain and further particulars are clarified in his SS enrolment form; the second statement is signed by SS-Oberst-Gruppenfuhrer Josef 'Sepp' Dietrich (1892-1966) and is addressed to Himmler and dated at Munich, 10th February 1932, stating that he is in agreement with the proposal to promote Herzberger, and the third statement is signed by SS-Gruppenfuhrer Richard Hildebrandt (1897-1952) and is also addressed to Himmler and dated at Munich, 13th March 1932, requesting that Himmler confirm the proposed promotion for Herzberger and that he be charged with the duties of an adjutant. Himmler has provided his approval and confirmation by initialling the document in bold red indelible pencil. A second set of his initials appear to the left, with a neat line struck through them. Four file holes to the edge, one causing a minor area of paper loss where torn and only very slightly affecting a few letters of text.
