R. Chaim ben Bezalel (1530-88) was the brother of the celebrated Mahara"l of Prague. He studied in Lublin under R. Solomon Luria (the Maharsha’l) and R. Shalom Shachna before being appointed Rosh Yeshivah of Worms, later he served as the rabbi of Friedberg.
