LUMIERE LOUIS: (1864-1948) French Pioneer Filmmaker, along with his brother Auguste. T.L.S., Louis Lumiere, one page, Bandol, Var, 3rd February 1947, on his Villa Lumen personal printed stationery, to Monsieur Raymond Langlois, in French. Lumiere refers to his correspondent´s letter about a letter to the minister recommending Mr. Langlois as representative of the Inventors to the Economy Council, further stating in part `But you do not tell me if I have to address directly a letter to the Minister or sign a request which you could send to me for such purpose..´.
