A letter postcard by Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Dessler. London, Chanuka 1933.
A letter sent to his relative Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Sakoleski, for coordinating a time for a family visit during Chanuka "if nothing will prevent me I hope to come to you, G-d willing, on this Motzei Shabbat¦ ".
Rabbi Eliyahu Eliezer Dessler (1892-1954), was educated in the Kelm Yeshiva, and was son in law of Nachum Ze'ev Ziv of Kelm. He came to England in 1927 and served in the rabbinate of Dellstone in London. He was one of the founders of the Gateshead kollel and helped establish Torah institutes in England. In his later years, he served as mashgiach of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. His deep discourses built on the basics of ethics, kabala and chassidut were printed by his disciples in the book Sichot U'Ma'amarim, in the five volumes of Michtav Me'Eliyahu and in Sefer Zikaron Michtav Me'Eliyahu.
