Last renewed edition of the Greek classic, promoted by the Spanish physician Francisco Suarez de Ribera (1686-1738), demonstrating the longevity of the teachings of the Greek Dioscórides (19th century). I). The collation of each of the volumes is as follows: I - [28], 240, 224 p.: 1 allegorical frontispiece, 1 engraving (coat of arms of Spain), a portrait (Francisco Suarez), XXVI plant engravings; II - [16], 188, 226, 132, 88 p.: 1 engraving (coat of arms of Isabel Farnesio), [25] engrings (numbered from XXVI to XLI), XIX engravings. Paging is independent in each of the six books that make up the work. Complete specimen, but with some imperfections, namely: sharp cropping, with some prints presenting the outside margin bent or exceeding the edge; marginal restoration and reinforcements, more extensive in the last two leaves of the indexes of the two volumes, but without loss of text; occasional browning and foxing. A little worn 19th-century bindings. Palau, 324088.
