Vedernikov Aleksandr Semyonovich (1898, Gorodets, the Nizhniy Novgorod Province – 1975, Leningrad).
During 1921-1923 studied in N. Novgorod art studios under A.V. Kuprin, A.V. Fonvizin, then at Higher Art and Technical Institute in Leningrad (1924-1928) under O.E. Braz, A.E. Karev. Known as a member of the Circle of Artists society (1928-1930). Participated in exhibitions since 1928. Gave lessons at Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architecture (1936-1937), Leningrad Institute of municipal engineers (since 1945). His works were exposed in London (1929). Vedernickov’s one-man show took place in Leningrad (1945). The artist’s works are represented in the Tretyakov Art Gallery and many regional museums, as well as in private collections of Russia and abroad.
