Enamelled and gilded porcelain vase, Qianlong mark - Porcelain enamelled in red-coral with delicate gilt details. It is meticulously painted with a dragon, with a dotted body, chasing a flaming pearl, among coiled branches and flowers. The lower border has cartouches or petals, and on the shoulders a succession of borders, ruyi, scrolls and lacework. The last two are repeated in the middle of the neck and near the mouth. The shape rises from a base with a line of fretwork to a stylised vessel with a high neck and wide mouth. On the base, in underglaze blue, is a six-character mark '大清乾隆年制' Qianlong.
