Embossed metal box, Ming dynasty - Circular box with lid made of a metal alloy (copper-nickel) in silvery-white color. The silhouette is flattened and the lid has a traditional scene of a bird with flowers embossed on it. It is a magpie surrounded by roses and other flowers following Ming characteristics. It is surrounded by a lotus leaf border that is repeated on the vessel. The magpie ”喜鹊” (Xiquè) with flowers has a meaning of good omen.  Height: 5,5 cm; Diameter: 10 cm; Weight: 158 g
