Carved jade pendant, Han dynasty - Natural nephrite jade pendant carved in the shape of three peaks. It has three holes for sewing the piece to clothing. It has raised characters on both sides. The outer rim is wider, like a frame, but the shape is generally flat. In ancient times, it was used as a kind of badge. The jade has a white hue with brown spots due to patina from age. Attached is a ”Jade Identification Certificate”. Provenance: Important collection of Tommy Lam, Hong Kong, since 1980.  Size: 6.4 x 0.5 x 4.1 cm; Weight: 24 g
