Double lion' glazed ware pillow, Song dynasty - Traditional pillow made of modelled ceramic. It is kidney-shaped, with rounded edges and a slightly curved surface. The body of the pillow is decorated with the image of two fierce lion heads arranged in a mirror image, with large eyes and open jaws. The surface is covered with a thick glaze in light ochre and dark-brown, leaving the base unglazed. Song Dynasty (960-1279) or later.  Size: 8 x 11 x 18.2 cm
