Yellow jade seal “Sinuous Beast”, Song Dynasty - Yellow-celadon-coloured jade, with areas of ochre and brown patina covering much of the figure. It has a narrow quadrangular base, crowned by a sinuous mythological creature in a dynamic pose, with a serpentine body and raised head. The base bears an inscription in seal script. Song Dynasty (960–1279) or later. Size: 6 x 4.8 x 4.5 cm Weight: 195.5 g
