Agate bead, Liao dynasty - An archaic disc-shaped bead with rounded edges, carved from carnelian agate in warm orange, honey and cream tones. At one end, there is a striking concentric ‘eye’ formed by natural circular bands of white veining. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later. Size: 18 x 13 mm Weight: 8.1 g
