Shoushang seal ‘Lion with Cub’, Qing dynasty - An oval seal carved from Shoushan stone, with a deep reddish-orange colour and a lustrous patina. The top features a sculpted scene of a guardian lion with its cub, both with robust bodies, long manes and sharp claws. The front is engraved with a poetic inscription, whilst the base bears a seal mark. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) or later. Size: 8.2 x 5.8 x 9.0 cm. Weight: 476 g
