Schoenau & Hoffmeister ‘Porcelain Baby’, Germany, c. 1915–1925 - A character doll in the ‘baby’ style with a porcelain head. It bears the inscription ‘AB/1361/ 34/ Made in Germany’ on the nape of the neck. It is notable for its flirty-style mechanical glass eyes, an open mouth showing the upper teeth, and a curly blonde wig. It has an articulated body made of composite material and a mesh-covered opening for the mechanism on the back. Height: 34 cm
