Magazine Viento Sur: Literature and Art magazine. ”El Criollismo: Un paso positivo en nuestra literatura. (Criollismo: a positive step in our literature)”. Santiago de Chile, 1954. - ges, 39x28 cm. First issue, original copy of the Literature and Art magazine, Viento Sur. On the first page is an interview of Pablo Neruda and a portrait of him entitled “El criollismo: un paso positivo en nuestra literatura” which was published to launch the magazine, and also to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Chilean poet. Inside the magazine is a series of poems about Guatemala and Central American dictatorships, written by Pablo Neruda. Poems include Guatemala from Los Conquistadores; Los brujos de américa, Ubico, Centro América and La United Fruit Co. from La arena traicionada; and Centro América from América no invoco tu nombre en vano.
