First original edition published in the magazine Cruz y Raya, n° 20, November 1934. This is the first translation Neruda did. They are fragments from the poems The Daughters of Albion and The Mental Traveller, both by William Blake. There are three reproductions of Blake’s original illustrations which were printed by the British Museum to celebrate his centenary (coloured Prints by William Blake, 1757-1827). There is a signature by Pablo Neruda at the end of the text with the note: “Traducción de Pablo Neruda.”
