Notation on the flyleaf: “This book belongs to the person who purchased…the Gaon…Chaim Zvi.”
The Admor Gaon Rabbi Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum, author of Atzei Chaim (1880-1926), the son of the Admor Rabbi Chananiah Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum, author of Kedushat Yom Tov, and his successor from 1904. A Torah giant known for his piety and fear of Heaven. Renowned for his phenomenal memory and sharp intellect.
The Gaon Rabbi Chaim Zvi Ehrenreich (1873-1936), was the son-in-law of his uncle, Rabbi Naftali Schwartz, author of Beit Naftali and was the only brother and a student of the Gaon of Șimleu.
