Classic Havdalah Set: Silver Goblet and Spice Container. London 1904.
Havdalah Set: a silver goblet and a spice container joined together, crafted by a silversmith in London, England, in 1904. The two objects connect in a way that creates the appearance of a regular spice tower. When the parts are disassembled, however, the top of the tower remains as an independent vessel for holding the spices, and the goblet for holding the wine.
The owner's name - S. Martin – is engraved on top of the set. The silver hallmarks appear on the flag flying at the top of the tower, on the rim of the cup, and on the four gilded silver bells, testifying to the production of the set in London, 1904.
28 cm (height). 234 gr. Marked.
A classic English set, 120 years old.
