Crown) moved from Kronstadt to the Pacific ocean through the Strait of Magellan and made a detailed description of this Strait. In 1863, he was awarded the order of St. Stanislaus 2nd class, promoted to Lieutenant commander and appointed officer for special assignments under the Manager of the Maritime Ministry. He commanded the ironclad tower boat 'Hurricane'. In 1865, he was awarded the order of St. Stanislaus of the 2nd degree. He was a district police officer in Mogilev. In 1884 promoted to rear Admiral.
