Palace orders issued by the second division of His Imperial Majesty's own Chancery by the highest order. Volume III (from 1645 to 1676).

The third volume contains all the categories belonging to the reign of the Tsar and Grand Duke Alexey Mikhailovich from the time of his accession to the throne on July 12, 1645 until his death on January 30, 1676. 

Discharge books (or discharges) are books of records of orders for military, civil, and court service. According to the publishers, they appeared during the time of Ivan III and continued until the new institutions of Peter I – thus, they made a complete chronicle of government and official activities in Russia during the Moscow period of Russian history.
