Pedigreed copy: Machatzit Hashekel, [II]. Vienna, [1817]. 


Sefer Machatzit hashekel, [II: simanim 341-1936] by Rabbi Shmuel halevi Klein. Revised edition with additions and corrections, Anton Schmidt Press, Vienna, [1817]. With the signatures of Rabbi Moshe Eiger and Rabbi Nosson Nota Shaier. 


[2], 154; 121 leaves. With the stamp of the Yeshiva of Altona and [3] signatures of Rabbi Nosson Nota Shaier ben Rabbi Yeshaya and the signature of Rabbi Moshe Eiger, who added: "Collateral by our Rav Hirsch Schlak". On the back flyleaf, record of the birth of children during the years 1820-1825. Printing corrections and some handwritten glosses. 


Rabbi Nosson Nota ben Rabbi Yeshaya Shaier (passed away in 1862) the son-in-law of Rabbi Yekutiel Vella of Ostrov. Served as Av Beis Din of Zodemishla and during the years 1822-1852 as Av Beis Din of Fila. His glosses on the Magen Avraham were printed in the book Kerem Shlomo. 


Rabbi Moshe Eiger (passed away in 1857) Rav of the Fihlene community. A disciple of his uncle the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger in Posen and the son of the Gaon Rabbi Bonem Eiger Av Beis Din of Mattersdorf. 


Rabbi Hirsch Schlak, a tzaddik Talmid Chacham, Dayan of the Ektzin community.  After losing his fortune, initiated the printing of a manuscript of Chidushei HaRan on tractate Bava metzi'ah and appealed to Rabbi Akiva Eiger for an approbation. 


Original, worn leather binding. Stains. Good condition.
