Sefer Etz Chaim by Rabbi Chaim Vital, the disciple of the holy Ari. Lviv - Lemberg, 1864 edition. The personal copy of Maran Rabbi Simcha Bunim Sofer, the Shevet Sofer of Pressburg. 


On the title page, his round stamp. Many signs of usage indicating his study of Kabbalah. 


Maran the Gaon Rabbi Simcha Bunim Sofer [1843-1906] the Shevet Sofer, the son of Maran the Kesav Sofer who followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather the Chasam Sofer.


[1], 99 leaves. The title page and last leaf are professionally restored. Dampness signs and much water damage, affecting the text on the upper part of the last leaf. Leaf 1 is blemished, not considerably affecting the text. Large water stains. Thin and slightly damp leaves. New, elegant binding. Good condition.
