Letter of Blessings from Rabbi Ben Tzion Koinka, Rosh Av Beis Din of the Sephardic Community in Yerushalayim. 1921
Letter, handwritten and signed by Rabbi Ben-Tzion Koinka, Raavad of the Sephardic community in Yerushalayim. Jerusalem, 1921.

“Hashem will endow you to witness the raising of the value of our Torah and the full redemption to our nation in the coming year with the rebuilding of Yerushalayim and the Palace properly”. Letter by the Raavad of the Sephardic community in Yerushalayim, sent to Scranton, Pennsylvania to R’ Tzvi Eisner and his brother-in-law R’ David Harris, with blessings upon the upcoming Pesach. Jerusalem, 28 Adar II 5681 (Apr. 12, 1921).

From the contents of the letter, addressed to both brothers-in-law, it appears that the writer was unaware of the fact that R’ David Harris had passed away nearly five months earlier.
The writer mentions a break-in and burglary that had taken place by his eldest son in Alexandria the past week.

Please see the Hebrew listing for biographical information on the personages mentioned.
