The Holy Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Sega"l Rosner ben Meir Yesacher Dov HaLevi hy"d, ab"d Székelyhid, from great Rabbanim and Rosh Yeshiva of the generation, born around the year 1884 in Saranda (Chechoslovakia). He was a disciple of the 'Shevet Sofer' and 'Arugat Habosem' and son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Jungreis ab"d Kashau. He was Dayan of Tchup, and later Rosh Yeshiva and ab"d of the Székelyhid community. The Yeshiva Székelyhid had a great reputation and many sages of the generation learned there. He wrote many Chidushei Torah of which most were lost. He published the sefer 'Imrei Yeuda' on sugyot (subjects) in Sha"s. Perished in Aushwitz with his only son, R' Shamuel Chaim hy"d, on the first day of Shevuot 1944.
Among his famous disciples are great righteous of the generation: Moron the Admo"r of Toldot Aharon, the Admo"r of Viznitz Monsey zt"l, the famous mekubal Rabbi Yehuda Zev Leibovitz.
