Avak Sofrim- Amsterdam, 1704, in beautiful condition.

The Sefer Avak Sofrim, includes speeches and explanations on the Torah, Agados, and Chazal and was written by Rabbi Avraham, son of Levi Conque of Chevron. He was a messenger of Chevron, who traveled to many European communities over 10 years. He was known to many Gedolei Yisroel, who all gave their approval on his Sefer.

At a young age, he recognized Shabsai Tzvi, may his name be erased, and described his ways and actions in his writings. Rabbi Yakov Emden spread his words in his Sefer "Toras Hakanaus".

In this Sefer, letters to Rabbi Moshe Zchis and Rabbi Yehuda Briel are printed, who sent queries about Shabsai Tzvi. It is clear that the author was careful in addressing these questions, and he wrote that he did not want such information spread. From his adept answers, it is evident that he had a smart and talented way of writing.

The Sefer was printed in Amsterdam in 1704 by Nesanel Puah Press and is a single, rare edition. It includes the signature of the owner, Tzvi Hirsh.

It is beautified with many Haskamos of Rabbanim of Chevron, Rabbi Shmuel Schotten, Rabbi Dovid Oppenheim, the Baal Smichas Chachomim, and others.

The Sefer has an original wooden binding with a new spine and is in great and luxurious condition.
