First edition of Seder Hayom includes modeh ani, printed in Venice;1599.

Rabbi Moshe ben Machir was a rabbi and kabbalist of Tzfas who lived in the 16th century. He is primarily known as the author of the book Seder haYom, source of the Modeh Ani prayer.

Seder Hayom is a halachic-kabbalistic work that describes the order one should follow in daily life, including Shabbat and holidays. It was first printed in Venice in 1599 and again in 1605. It is the source of many currently practiced customs, including the Modeh Ani prayer.

This sefer was accepted by all sects of Judaism as the main guide to prayer and service to God. It was so beloved by the Chasidic masters that they would not travel without it. A second edition was printed in Venice in 1605, still during the author's lifetime. The next edition was printed in Slavita in 1793, and since then, the sefer has been reprinted in many editions.

The sefer has the signature of its owner, Rabbi Avrohom Yosef Shlomo Graciano, in the cover

It is in impressive condition, with a new half-leather binding.
