Autograph. About 150 leaves. Rabbi Dov Ber Zelig Segal Horowitz, author of Nachlat HaLeviim.
A collection of approximately one hundred and fifty leaves of Torah novellae on talmudical masechtot and sugyot, by Rabbi Dov Ber Zelig Segal Horowitz. The style of writing and differing types of paper indicate that these leaves were written over an extended period of time.
Sections of this manuscript was printed in his Nachlat HaLeviim.
Rabbi Dov Ber Zelig Segal Horowitz (1848-1917) was the son of Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Segal Horowitz, scion of the Shl"a. He spent his life learning Torah and received semichah from the rabbis of his time, including Rabbi Yitzchok Elchonon Spector. In 1875, he served as rabbi in Niasviz and then moved to Bialystock. Rabbi Chaim Hertz, av"d Biaylstock, invited him to sit in on meetings of the beit din. His son, Rabbi Baruch Mordechai, printed some of his writings in Nachlat HaLevim, section one. It seems that he intended to print additional sections, but was unsuccessful.
Varying paper size, most pages measure 11x17 cm. Most of material is in good condition.
