Lexicon of many semitic languages by Edmund Castell (1606-1685) who labored on this life work for 16-18 hours daily over the period of 18 years with the assistance of 14 helpers! Luxury edition, half-leather with gold letters. This is volume 1 that begins with the Hebrew lexicon. Missing the beginning - the preface and introduction and the first 44 doubled columns. The book includes an engraving of the author and begins with the 3 columns (includes all 1654 columns that were divided into three). Fine condition.
