Discovery: Ledger of the First Bank in the Jerusalem Yishuv - Bank Hamburger
Over 100 pages, lists of thousands Yishuv personalities, Ashkenazim and Edot HaMizrach, who borrowed and repaid their loans. Records of the sums of deposits as well. Blemished and eroded in the middle. Despite R' Hamburger's name not being written on the ledger, we succeeded in the identification by way of descriptions of personalities close to him.The ledger was written from 1883-1885.
