Avudraham was the earliest, most fundamental book on prayer customs and their sources, the traditions and laws of the text of prayers and blessings. The book was well-received across all Jewish communities as the most authoritative source on matters related to prayer. It has the highest literary value of all books written on this subject ( Encyclopedia Otzar Yisrael).
