Sefer Gedolei Terumah on Sefer HaTerumot was accepted as the primary commentary on Sefer HaTerumot - "and it is its commander and faithful home attendant" in the [Hebrew] words of Mana"ch (Shu"t Shtei HaLechem siman 3). The gaon Rabbi Ephraim Zalman Margaliot of Brody, author of Beit Ephraim, writes in his approbation to the Zolkiew edition of Sefer HaTerumot that he heard from his ancestors about the amounts of money spent by the Sha"ch so that he would receive Sefer Gedolei Terumah, and the Sha"ch mentions him often in Choshen Mishpat.
