Especially important edition of Chamishah Chumshei Torah with the Targums and the commentaries printed by Chacham Menasheh Ben Yisrael. The date of print on the first title page is 1640, and on the title page for the haftarahs, 1638. To the best of our knowledge, this sefer has never been offered at auction.
Mif'al HaBibliographiah notes according to the rare copy they saw: "On the haftarah title page: 1638. The letter ח is unclear; the date may be 1635. Apparently they had no other copy of this rare sefer for comparison. This copy clearly has the date 1638 (and not 1635). The National Library catalog notes that the sefer was printed in 1635. The copy scanned in the National Library's web site is from the Valmadonna library.
165; 194; [196]-263, 265-289, lacking two leaves at the first counting and two leaves at the end (only one leaf is lacking according to the number of leaves listed by Mif'al HaBibliographiah but the copy at the National Library bears another leaf).
Moderate condition. Aging stains. Tears, minimal worming damage. Blemishes with lack in the first title page, the following leaf and several individual leaves. Not bound.
