Interesting Letter from the Sacred Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Deutch, Av Beit Din of Bonyhád about his Sefer, Pri HaSadeh - Bibliographic letter handwritten, signed and stmped by the gaon Rabbi Eliezer Deutch, av beit din  of Bonyhád, with respect to the publication of his sefer , Tevuot HaSadeh  Part III. Bonyhád, 1897. The date the letter was written as determined according to the postmark. The letter was sent to a Hungarian benefactor who apparently supported printing the Bonyhád rabbi's sefarim . The letter deals with sending Part III of his book series  Pri HaSadeh  which was printed that same year (Lemberg, 1897). This part (III) of Pri HaSadeh  discussed in this letter became the most well-known due to its precedential responsa [Chap. 38 in the sefer , refer to the attached photocopy] to make an exception of children's toys from the prohibition of producing or dealing in statues ( psalim ) which were made to be gods, because the essence of dolls is for play and abuse, which differentiates them from statues that were made as gods.
