Sifrei HaGr"a. First Edition. Elya' Rabba. Brünn, 1802.
Sefer Elyah Rabba - commentary on Mishnayot Seder Taharot by Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna [the Gr"a]. Brünn, 1802. First edition. The back flyleaf bears a dedication from the period of printing.
The commentary was written by the Gr"a's disciple, Rabbi Meir of Vilna, who attended to his teacher for five years. At the beginning of the sefer are approbations by Rabbi Mordechai Bennett and Rabbi Elazar Fleckeles. Among the approbations, Rabbi Meir printed a letter from the Gr"a and a letter from the Gr"a's brother in which they write that he sat in the Gr"a's home for five years, and studied Mishnayot Taharot for many years. Yet, the Gr"a's sons were concerned about the reliability of this commentary.
Vinograd, Sifrei HaGr"a.
