Set of [3] Volumes of Chasdei David. Livorno-Jerusalem, 1776-1890. First Edition
Chasdei David - fundamental and first extensive commentary on the Tosefta, by Rabbi David Pardo.
Important set of comprehensive commentary on the Tosefta. The "Chasdei David" commentary printed in the margins of the Tosefta in the common editions of Sha"s is an abridged version of the commentary before us.
The first two parts were printed in Livorno during the author's lifetime, and the third part was printed in Jerusalem about 100 years posthumously. Approbations to the first part include one by the Mahari"t Algazi, as well as one by the Chid"a, who later became related to Rabbi Pardo through marriage of their children.
Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a detailed biography of Rabbi David Pardo.
