Group of [14] Antique Letters, Contracts, and Documents, 19th-20th Centuries
Interesting collection comprised of antique letters, contracts and documents from various locations. Highlights:
* Business contract between Chacham Rabbi Natan Amram, author of Kinyan HaGuf V'Kinyan Perot and R' Yitzchak ... of Dupnitsa (Yugoslavia), signed by witnesses. Safed, 1817. 22x16 cm. Worming damage.
* Letter from Rabbi Yitzchak Ben-Samon - administrator and mashgiach of the Safed kollels, regarding a courtyard belonging to the Safed kollels. Written and signed in 1820. 20x12 cm. Tears, worming perforations and lack in the text.
* Letter from a Jerusalem emissary from 1827, laden with flowery phraseology in the way of Sephardic sages. The letter is unsigned. The content indicates that the emissary served for several years as rabbi of Aleppo. 21x31 cm. Beautiful script. Minimal worming perforations.
* Group of leaves including from the Rashb"i kollels from 1831, and more. All are written in flowery phraseology and rhyme in the way of Sephardic sages. [9] leaves sized 30x20 cm - not properly examined.
* Arabic letter from a Muslim judge to the Jews of Al Hajjara (Yemen?) to arrange head-tax payment. Hijrī year 1324 [1903].
* Signed letter from Baghdad in Judeo-Arabic.
* Letter sent from Beirut in 1892 to Rabbi Moshe Chara"j, rosh kollel of Kossov-Vizhnitz in Safed. Undeciphered calligraphic Sephardic signature.
* Letter from Safed, 1904, regarded the Safed kollels. 20x20 cm. Undeciphered calligraphic Sephardic signature.
* Letter from Beirut, 1904, also regarding kollel funds. 20x27 cm. Undeciphered calligraphic Sephardic signature.
