Marriage Certificate of the Daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Ze'ev HaLevi of Brisk, Signed by Rabbi Dushinsky
Official marriage certificate no. 115692, of Rivkah, daughter of the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Ze'ev HaLevi of Brisk, to the bridegroom, the gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Schiff, rosh kollel of Brisk. Rabbi Yisrael Moshe Dushinsky, Ra'ava"d of the Edah Chareidit, was the officiating rabbi, and the certificate is signed by him and bears the stamp of the Edah Chareidit.
The witnesses are the gaon Rabbi Elazar Menachem Shach and the gaon Rabbi Chaim Aharon Turchin. The rabbinic leaders of recent generations (the bridegroom, the in-laws, the witnesses and the officiating rabbi) whose names appear on the certificate constitute a total of hundreds of years of uninterrupted toil in Torah.
Before us is a rare document, bearing the signature of the ra'ava"d of the Edah Chareidit on an official State of Israel document with State emblems, and the document also bears the official stamp of the Edah Chareidit.
