Sfat Emet, Kadshim - Warsaw, 1935 - first edition Sfat Emet on Seder Kadshim, by the Rebbe Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Lieb Alter of Gur. At the beginning of the book is a preface by the author's son and son-in-law, and a foreword by the author's son-in-law, Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman. The Rebbe of Gur, Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Lieb Alter (1847-1905) was the third Rebbe in the line of rebbes of Gur Hasiddut, and one of the prominent leaders of Polish Jewry at the end of the 19th century. Under his leadership, Gur Hasiddut became the central Hasiddut in Poland. His work, after which he is called, ”Sfat Emet”, includes volumes of sermons on the Parsha as well as volumes of innovations on the Talmud, such as the one before us. 193 pages.
