A STATUE OF A MAN WITH DOUBLE BEll. CAMEROON
A hand carved wooden statue of a man with a double bell and a beater. The double bell is constructed in a side-by-side configuration. Two parts of a bell are connected by an arched handle. Such bells made of metal were found throughout Central Africa. The bell emits two different tones when playing with a wooden or metal beater. Circa early 20th century.
