Description: A red morocco leather-bound set of the famous French newspaper/magazine 'L'Illustration', interspersed with 24 initials of Alexander III in red pencil at the corners of the first page of each issue. Previously sold at Christie's Auction House and retaining their tag in the front of the book. Many exquisitely detailed engravings throughout.

Condition: Pages good with the occasional small tear, to be expected from use. Much surface wear to the spine, though the gilt lettering is almost completely intact except for a small fragment. Some scratches and scuffs across covers.
